A Mother's Prayer for Her Daughter's Racial Healing
My name is Elise, and I’m a 40-year-old mother. My daughter, Jenna, has faced racial bullying at school for years, and it has taken a toll on her mental and emotional health. She often comes home in tears, feeling worthless and anxious about going back. I’m heartbroken seeing her struggle and do not know how to help her heal. I pray for her to feel valued, loved, and secure in her identity. I am asking for prayers to help guide her on this journey towards healing and to strengthen her spirit to rise above the negativity.

Dear Elise, your love and concern for Jenna are truly touching, and I commend you for being such a dedicated mother. It's heartbreaking to hear your daughter is facing such pain, but remember that God sees her and loves her deeply. He promises to care for us and instruct us, even in our times of trouble (Psalm 55:22). I encourage you to remind Jenna that she is made in the image of God and cherished by Him. Help her to find solace in Psalms 91:1, where we learn that He is our refuge and fortress. As you both navigate this journey, bathe her in prayer and Scripture, guiding her back to the truth of her identity in Christ. Let her know that God has a purpose for her life, despite the challenges she faces, and encourage her to lean into Him for strength. I am praying for Jenna's healing and resilience as she overcomes these obstacles.
